Disc Golf Courses in Colorado Springs

Colorado Springs is known for fabulous weather year-round, which makes it the perfect place to enjoy disc golf. Similar to regular golf, the goal is to land your disc into the Disc Pole Hole – a pole extending up from the ground with a basket and chains to help stop the disc. The winner will have the fewest number of cumulative throws from the tee area to the hole throughout the 9- or 18-hole course. So gather your friends and your flying discs and head out to one of the disc golf courses in Colorado Springs.

The Aviary
Located in south Colorado Springs, this brand new course opened in July 2015 in response to increasing demand. This course combines the use of Fountain Creek, open elevated shots and heavily wooded areas.

Cottonwood Creek
This very popular course on the north side of Colorado Springs has a good mix of wooded and open fairways with changes in elevation. The course has different looks, as there are several alternate pin placements. A practice basket is provided. It’s a fun and challenging course with some narrow fairways.

Fort Carson
Established in 2015, this well-marked and enjoyable 9-hole course provides challenging elevation on some of your maneuvering shots. Gorgeous views of Cheyenne Mountain and Colorado Springs can be seen from this high-desert terrain. This course is located on Fort Carson but is open to both military and non-military. If you are not a military card holder, you will need to show your driver’s license when entering the base, so budget in a little extra time.

Holmes Middle School
This smaller course is great for the beginner disc golfer. 5 baskets comprise this 9-hole mostly flat  and lightly wooded course. Available only when school is not in session.

Nick’s Soaring Eagle / Nick Naples Memorial
Named after its 17-year-old creator who designed this course as his Eagle Scout service project, this disc golf course is located on Woodland Park Middle School property. Opened in 2012, the mostly flat and moderately wooded landscape provides 9 holes with 8 baskets. Available for use only during non-school hours including holidays, summer, after school and weekends.

Widefield Park
With a good mix of technical and open shots, this course has a small stream that runs through it which adds a fun challenge. The course winds through a park with several mature trees. 18 holes with 18 baskets are located throughout the mostly flat but some moderately wooded areas.
